About LumaRoom

LumaRoom is an independently maintained educational website about practical home lighting decisions. It explains how light output, color, placement, diffusion and controls affect the experience of a room. We built it for readers who want to make clearer decisions before buying lamps or fixtures.

What you will find

Our guides focus on observable room problems: glare at a workstation, a kitchen counter left in shadow, an uncomfortable overhead lamp, or confusing bulb labels. We offer free, browser-based planning tools that explain their assumptions and limitations rather than pretending to replace professional calculations.

What we do not do

We are not an electrical contractor, licensed lighting designer, testing laboratory or product retailer. We do not inspect homes, certify installations, make universal claims about health effects, or give instructions for modifying permanent wiring. Installation and code decisions belong to qualified local professionals.
