Editorial standards and corrections
What our guides are based on
We use accessible public information from technical and energy-efficiency organizations, including ENERGY STAR, the U.S. Department of Energy and the Illuminating Engineering Society. We combine these references with practical, clearly labeled planning examples. Our examples are illustrative, not field-measured installations.
What we verify
Before publishing, we check that technical terms such as lumens, watts and correlated color temperature are used consistently, that links work, that advice distinguishes comfort from electrical compliance, and that room-specific examples avoid invented universal rules. We state when professional help is appropriate.
Independence and monetization
Content is written for readers first. We do not currently publish sponsored reviews or affiliate product rankings. If advertising is enabled on the site, it will be distinguished from editorial material. Advertising does not determine our explanations or safety recommendations.
Updates and corrections
Articles display their editorial review date. As evidence or product standards change, wording may be revised. You can report errors to rafliraflu@gmail.com; please include the affected URL and the reason for the requested correction.
Scope and limits
Our guides are general education. They are not product certifications, photometric designs, medical advice, or substitutes for manufacturers’ instructions and local electrical standards.
